Teacher Active is proud to work with schools in Hereford that support vulnerable children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, ranging from Anxiety and trauma to challenging behaviour. The schools cater to students with needs such as disruptive behaviour, ADHD, and Autism.

As a SEMH Mths Teacher, you will work with students through various activities, including outdoor teaching methods and engaging classroom strategies. You will be a key figure in their lives, always seeking fun and innovative ways to engage children in learning.

The schools we work with are looking for a SEMH Teacher who can fill day-to-day, short-term, and long-term placements. They offer extensive experience, which can help you grow as a teacher, along with market-leading rates. The ideal SEND Teacher / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status/QTS and at least 6 months of SEND experience
• A calm and caring demeanor
• Flexibility to cover classes at short notice due to staff sickness or training
• Ability to follow pre-planned lessons and create your own activities and resources when needed
• Skill in adapting tasks to meet individual children's needs
• Effective communication skills with staff members
