Job summary

REESON Education is recruiting a compassionate SEMH Learning Support Assistant for a school in Preston. This full-time, term-time role supports students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in both classroom and one-to-one settings, helping them access learning and develop key skills.

You will work closely with teachers to deliver tailored plans, monitor progress, and provide steady emotional support, contributing to a safe, nurturing school environment with early start available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Calm, patient and empathetic approach to student support.
• Must have access to a vehicle to travel between sites if required.

Responsibilities

• Support SEMH students in classroom and one-to-one settings.
• Assist teaching staff with tailored learning plans and strategies.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Support students' social, emotional and behavioural development.
