Job summary

Senploy is recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant for a long-term supply placement at a specialist secondary school in Warwick. The school supports Years 7-11 pupils with SEMH/EHCP needs in a nurturing, pastoral-led setting.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, help implement EHCP targets, support literacy and numeracy, and work with the pastoral team to maintain a calm, structured classroom. DBS Update Service required; immediate start; weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Learning Mentor, or similar role
• Patient, resilient, and confident working with young people who may present challenging behaviour
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
• Available for a full-time, long-term supply placement

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEMH and/or SEN
• Help implement strategies and targets set out in EHCPs
• Support literacy, numeracy, and access to the wider curriculum
• Build trusted relationships to help students feel safe and supported
• Support the management of behaviour using de-escalation and nurture-based approaches
• Work closely with teachers and pastoral team to support each student's plan
• Contribute to a calm, structured, and encouraging classroom environment
