Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a dedicated SEMH Learning Mentor for mainstream primary settings in Leyland, Lancashire. The role focuses on early intervention, emotional regulation, and inclusive support for Key Stage 1 and 2 students across multiple schools.

The post offers full-time, term-time hours, starting after October half term, with daily rates of £95–£120 depending on experience. A supportive, multidisciplinary team environment is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour.
• Excellent communication, emotional resilience, and patience.
• Availability to work full-time Monday to Friday after October half term.

Responsibilities

• Targeted mentoring: deliver 1-to-1 and small-group sessions to support emotional regulation and classroom access.
• Positive behaviour management using de-escalation strategies, reinforcement, and restorative practices.
• Collaboration with teachers, families, and external support agencies to monitor progress and update support plans.
• Building resilience by creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for vulnerable learners.
