Job summary

Kingsway Park High is seeking an experienced SEMH Inclusion Practitioner to join Seacole, our Personalised Pathways Provision. You will build trusted relationships and deliver targeted SEMH interventions to help students regulate emotions and succeed in education.

The role focuses on supporting students with SEMH needs, responding calmly to challenging behaviour, and collaborating with staff, families and other professionals to secure meaningful progress.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs and behaviours that challenge.
• Experience in SEMH settings (SEMH school, AP, PRU, specialist setting) is a plus.
• Strong professional judgement and calm response in challenging situations.
• Ability to balance compassion with clear boundaries and high expectations.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with students who need targeted SEMH support.
• Deliver and adapt SEMH interventions to develop emotional regulation and resilience.
• Respond confidently to challenging behaviour using de-escalation and relational approaches.
• Support individual and small-group learning with adaptations to meet needs.
• Contribute to personalised support and reintegration plans for return to mainstream lessons.
• Collaborate with the Seacole Lead, families and other professionals to secure progress.
