Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Functional Skills Teacher to support KS4 learners in a specialist secondary alternative provision in Salford. The role focuses on improving engagement for students facing SEMH and other barriers to education.
You will plan and deliver Functional Skills lessons, differentiate for varied needs, and work with a small class to build confidence and progress toward qualifications.
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a Functional Skills Teacher to join a specialist secondary alternative provision supporting students in Key Stage 4. This setting works with learners who face a range of barriers to education, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), anxiety, trauma-related behaviours, attachment difficulties, emotional dysregulation, poor school attendance, and challenging behaviour.
The provision offers a structured, supportive, and therapeutic learning environment designed to re-engage students with education and prepare them for positive post‑16 destinations. Class sizes are small, allowing staff to build strong relationships with pupils and deliver highly personalised learning programmes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
