The Education Network is recruiting an SEMH Class Teacher to work in a primary curriculum setting in Birmingham. You will teach a small class of pupils with SEMH needs and deliver the Primary curriculum in a trauma-informed, supportive environment.
The role emphasises rebuilding confidence, establishing routines, and building strong relationships with pupils, with collaboration from Teaching Assistants and SEND specialists.
Are you an SEMH teacher with primary experience looking for a rewarding new opportunity at a local school? A trauma-informed approach is essential. You will need to understand that behaviour is often a form of communication and be able to respond calmly, consistently and compassionately, while still maintaining clear boundaries and high expectations.
You will teach a small class, providing a structured and engaging learning environment where pupils can rebuild confidence, develop positive relationships and make progress academically and personally.
