Job summary

The Cambian Group is seeking a dedicated Class Instructor for an SEMH school. The role involves delivering bespoke learning in small classes (up to five students) with TA support, and maintaining a strong positive behaviour management ethos.

You will apply flexible teaching methods to reach learners with learning or behavioural difficulties, uphold professional standards, and help create a safe, engaging environment that supports each young person’s safety, health and education.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching learners with learning or behavioural difficulties.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
• Flexibility and initiative in delivering lessons.
• Cross-curricular learning to integrate the national curriculum into practical activities.

Responsibilities

• Teach students with learning or behavioural difficulties within small class sizes.
• Apply diverse teaching methods to suit individual learning needs.
• Maintain professional practices and a safe, supportive environment.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants to support bespoke learning plans.
