Job summary

The London Borough of Bexley is recruiting a Social Emotional Mental Health Advisory Teacher to provide early intervention support and guidance to schools, parents and professionals dealing with SEMH and behaviour difficulties. You will train staff on behaviour strategies and work with children and families to plan targeted interventions.

DBS enhanced disclosure is required. The role sits within the Early Intervention Team and involves collaboration with schools to improve attendance, progress

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher with significant experience of behaviour management strategies in classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide early intervention support, advice and guidance to schools, parents and professionals for children with social, emotional or behavioural difficulties.
• Advise and train schools and teaching staff on behaviour strategies for groups of children.
• Assess needs, plan and deliver programmes of support for individuals and groups to re-engage with education, improving attendance, progress and attainment.
• Contribute to delivery of the Experts at Hand Offer.
