Job summary

A welcoming Lewisham primary school is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. You will support a boy on a 1:1 basis, help access learning, and implement emotional regulation strategies.

The role requires experience with SEMH or behavioural needs, a calm and compassionate approach, and the ability to de-escalate situations; Team Teach experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs.

Responsibilities

• Support a pupil 1:1 throughout the school day.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral team to help the pupil access learning.
• Develop emotional regulation strategies and positive coping mechanisms; use positive behaviour techniques to encourage engagement.
