Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group is seeking a compassionate Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a Lewisham primary school from September. The role is full-time and involves supporting a boy on a 1:1 basis who presents with behavioural challenges, helping him access learning and develop emotional regulation throughout the school day.

You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral team to implement positive behaviour strategies, de-escalate incidents, and encourage social interaction

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with behavioural challenges and SEMH needs is essential.
• Ability to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis within a primary school.
• Strong behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Support the pupil to access learning and develop emotional regulation throughout the day.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and pastoral team to implement positive behaviour strategies.
• De-escalate incidents and encourage positive social interactions in the classroom.
