Job summary

The Talent Branch is seeking a self-employed commercial upholsterer for an ongoing contract along the M4 corridor, based within easy reach of Reading with day rates of £275 to £300 per day depending on location. This is contract work, with travel within ~80 miles and hotels paid when working in London.

You must be able to machine sew and have proven commercial upholstery experience, own tools, van and an industrial sewing machine, plus public liability and vehicle insurance and a full UK driving

Qualifications

• Proven machine sewing and pattern cutting skills.
• Solid commercial upholstery experience.
• Own tools, van and industrial sewing machine.
• Public liability insurance, vehicle insurance and a full UK driving licence.
• Self-employed status or willing to set up quickly.
• Based in Reading, Slough area (within ~80 miles of home).

Responsibilities

• On-site commercial upholstery repairs, re-covers and refurbishment for a national company.
• Cutting, machine sewing and fitting on site.
• Travelling within ~80 miles of home with occasional overnight stays (hotels paid).
• Invoicing weekly for the days worked.
