The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Self Directed Support Advisor in Edinburgh. You will provide expert guidance on Direct Payments, SDS policies, and related schemes, supporting social work teams across assessments and care management.

This role requires a social work qualification and SSSC registration, with flexibility to adapt as SDS guidance evolves. It offers a fixed salary and opportunities to engage with multiple partners within the Health & Social Care Partnership.

Formación

• A degree in social work and registration with the SSSC, or equivalent social care experience.
• Commitment to Self Directed Support and related policies.
• Ability to adapt to change as the SDS team develops.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the professional advisor to professional social work teams in relation to complex issues relating to Direct payments or Self Directed Support.
• To act as the Partnership’s key lead with the Independent Living Fund to promote its use.
• Provide advice on financial processes that are linked to direct payment, Independent Service Funds and ILF.
