Job Description:

Hawksworth is recruiting for a Security Vulnerability and Penetration Testing (VAPT) Engineer for a global law firm. The role can be based in Belfast with remote work options in the UK, with travel to London or Belfast for meetings when required. This is a permanent position with salary to be discussed with suitable candidates.

Note: The role involves being on-call during weekends and focuses on enterprise penetration testing and web application security.

Responsibilities:

• Perform security penetration testing of the firm’s systems, platforms, and applications
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for VAPT functions
• Manage VAPT toolsets, platforms, and processes as the system owner
• Provide clear technical assessment reports with practical recommendations based on sound risk management principles

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in penetration testing, including reporting findings, with a solid understanding of penetration testing and related education
• Availability to be on-call during weekends
• Experience in enterprise penetration testing and web application security
• GWAP certifications (OSCAP certifications considered)
• Strong understanding of penetration testing concepts
• Proficiency with tools such as Burp Suite, APscan, and Nipper at an enterprise level
• Ability to communicate complex topics effectively to business staff
