Job Description:

Hawksworth is recruiting for a Security Vulnerability and Penetration Testing (VAPT) Engineer for a global law firm. The role can be based in Belfast or remote within the UK, with travel to London or Belfast for meetings as needed. This is a permanent position, with salary to be discussed with suitable candidates.

Note: The role involves being on-call for weekends and focuses on enterprise penetration testing and web application security.

Responsibilities:

• Perform security penetration testing of the firm’s systems, platforms, and applications.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the VAPT function.
• Manage VAPT toolsets, platforms, and processes.
• Provide clear technical assessment reports with practical recommendations based on sound risk management principles.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in penetration testing, including reporting findings, indicating a senior-level expertise.
• Availability to be on-call for weekends.
• Experience in enterprise penetration testing and web application security.
• GWAP or OSCAP certifications.
• Strong understanding of penetration testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with tools such as Burp Suite, Apscan, and Nipper.
• Ability to communicate complex topics effectively to non-technical staff.
