Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Security Administrator to join the Security Management Team in Suffolk. You will process security vetting applications to ensure accuracy, timeliness and confidentiality, aligning with legislation, standards and company procedures.

Responsibilities include managing applications, liaising with RAF stations for base passes, maintaining relationships with staff and contractors, supporting aftercare vetting, safeguarding data, guiding applicants, and providing admin

Qualifications

  • PC literate with Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
  • Reliable, well organised and proactive in approach.
  • Able to work within company procedures and standards.
  • Team player with flexible, confident approach.

  • Liaise with RAF stations regarding base passes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employees, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Support aftercare vetting processes for appropriate levels of clearance.
  • Ensure data protection and confidentiality when handling information.
  • Provide guidance to applicants throughout the vetting process.
  • Offer advice on vetting matters to colleagues and other business areas.
  • Undertake additional duties as required by Security Management Team/Defence Department.
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Team.

Job Title – Security Administrator
Location – Suffolk
What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for a Security Coordinator to join the team at Galliford Try

To work within the Security Management Team to ensure that Security Vetting Applications are processed in an accurate, timely and confidential manner, ensuring compliance with legislation standards and company procedures.

  • Process security vetting applications within the required timescales, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and standards.
  • Proactively manage applications to facilitate the timely achievement of security clearances.
  • Liaise with RAF stations regarding the issue and management of base passes.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, contractors, business partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Support the management of aftercare vetting processes for the appropriate levels of security clearance.
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection requirements when handling and processing personal information.
  • Provide guidance and support to applicants throughout the vetting process, including obtaining additional information where required.
  • Offer advice and assistance on security vetting matters to colleagues and other business areas as needed.
  • Undertake any additional duties reasonably required by the Security Management Team or Defence Department
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Team as required.
Competency Requirements
  • PC Literate – Microsoft Office

  • Previous experience in a Security Vetting role would be desirable but not essential
  • Administrative qualification would be desirable but not essential
  • Must be willing to obtain SC (Security Check)
