Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Security Clearances Administrator in Guildford to manage BPSS, SC and MOJ clearances. The role covers logging, renewals, auditing liaison and ID verifications, with training in vetting processes provided.

The successful candidate will coordinate with DIO and MoJ, maintain central registers and ensure GDPR-compliant record handling within a busy project environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Control, monitoring and administration of BPSS and SC security clearances and EL1 MOJ clearances.
  • Maintain Security Clearance Log for Business Unit Projects.
  • Follow up aftercare and renewals with GT personnel with clearances.
  • Liaise with DIO/MoJ for auditing, leavers, changes and day-to-day admin.
  • Provide guidance on security vetting for GT employees and supply chain.
  • Undertake Security Vetting Training as required.
  • Maintain project vetting registers within central database.
  • Issue BPSS application forms and chase outstanding documents.
  • Conduct ID verifications.
  • Undertake briefings with MoJ/DIO personnel; ensure ID cards are recovered and destroyed.

Job description

Job Title – Security Clearances Administrator
Location – Guildford
What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for a Security Clearance Coordinator to join the team at Galliford Try

What you will be doing:
  • Control, Monitoring and Administration of BPSS and SC security clearances and EL1 MOJ clearances.
  • Control and Maintain Security Clearance Log for Business Unit Projects.
  • Follow up aftercare and renewals with individuals within GT who have security clearance.
  • Liaise with DIO/MoJ/etc. for auditing, leavers, change of circumstances and day-to-day administration.
  • Provide help and guidance / act as a point of contact in regard to security vetting for GT employees and supply chain.
  • Undertake specific Security Vetting Training as required.
  • Ensure individual project vetting registers are maintained within central database.
  • Issue BPSS application forms and chase outstanding documentation required to progress BPSS applications.
  • Conduct ID verifications.
  • Undertake Special Briefings with individuals on behalf of MoJ/DIO in relation to those who have restrictions associated with their SC clearance and ensure ID cards are recovered and securely destroyed.
  • Issue security passes following site inductions.
  • Act as main point of contact for the BU with Sponsor, DIO Personnel Security Department.
  • Manage the removal of leavers from all relevant systems.
  • Archive / destruction of records - follow GDPR guidelines on Vetting paperwork as part of aftercare.
Competency Requirements
  • Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adhere to company health and safety policy and procedures.

  • Proven experience with electronic filing systems and document control systems

  • The ability to effectively and proactively co-ordinate key activities under pressure.

  • Willingness to learn new software and technology tools quickly.
Technical/Professional Qualifications:
  • Previous experience within a similar project coordination role.
  • Fully conversant with the Microsoft suite of packages.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Viewpoint for Projects or similar CDE(Common Data Environment) is highly desired.
