Job summary

adi Fire and Security is seeking an experienced Security Systems Technical Engineer to join their team. The role involves installation, commissioning and delivery of enterprise-level security systems across UK sites, with close collaboration with Project Managers, customers and engineers to ensure safe, timely completion.

Responsibilities include leading site-based installations, configuring platforms such as Gallagher, Lenel, Genetec and Milestone, and producing commissioning records.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience within Fire & Security industry.
• Experience delivering large-scale security projects.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise security systems.
• Relevant technical qualifications.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain intruder, CCTV and access control systems.
• Configure and commission security platforms (Gallagher, Lenel, CEM, Genetec, Milestone, Axis, ISM Genesy s, Cortech).
• Lead site-based installations and mentor junior engineers.
• Manage on-site project activities and communicate progress to Project Managers.
• Produce commissioning records and project documentation per NSI standards.
• Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional works.
• Ensure all work is safe with HSE compliance.
• Participate in on-call rota and support day-to-day operations.

About the Role

adi Fire & Security is looking for an experienced Security Systems Technical Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning and delivery of enterprise-level security systems, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and to the highest standards. You'll work closely with Project Managers, customers and engineers to oversee installations from site through to completion.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

• Installing, commissioning and maintaining enterprise-level Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Access Control systems.
• Configuring and commissioning security platforms including Gallagher, Lenel, CEM, Genetec, Milestone, Axis, ISM Genesys and Cortech.
• Leading site-based installations, providing technical support and mentoring junior engineers.
• Managing on-site project activities, monitoring progress and communicating updates to Project Managers.
• Producing commissioning records and project documentation in line with NSI standards.
• Building strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities for additional works and services.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments, method statements and customer requirements.
• Participating in the on-call rota and supporting day-to-day engineering operations as required.

About you

We would like to hear from you if you have:

• Extensive experience within the Fire & Security industry.
• Experience delivering large-scale security projects.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise security systems.
• Relevant technical qualifications.
• SSSTS, SMSTS or IOSH (desirable).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
