Job summary

Black & White Engineering seeks an experienced Security Engineer to lead the design and delivery of security systems across complex projects in the data centre and mission critical sectors. You will own security strategies, define standards, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with MEP, ICT, and building services teams to integrate robust, secure solutions across the built environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in the design and specification of electronic security systems.
• Experience delivering integrated solutions including Access Control, CCTV, Intruder, Perimeter Protection, Security Management Systems, and interfaces with building and IT infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of security design principles within mission-critical, data centre, commercial, industrial, healthcare, or other complex building environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of security systems across major projects.
• Act as the technical authority for security systems design, ensuring robust, scalable solutions that meet client requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary MEP, ICT, and building services teams.
• Define security standards across projects and contribute to technical reviews and client discussions.
• Support the project lifecycle from concept through to handover, including inspections and commissioning.
