Job summary

Booker is seeking a Security Systems Engineer II to design, implement and support security technologies that protect users, devices, applications and infrastructure. As a Security Systems Engineer II, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting and enhancing security technologies that protect our users, devices, applications and infrastructure.

You'll provide hands‑on engineering expertise across endpoint, identity, cloud and infrastructure security, helping to reduce risk while enabling the business to operate effectively and securely. Working closely with internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders, you’ll investigate technical issues, improve security controls, support incident response activities and contribute to the delivery of secure technology solutions.

• Experience engineering and supporting enterprise security technologies.
• Knowledge of endpoint security, vulnerability management, identity and access management, security monitoring and Microsoft security solutions.
• Understanding of security engineering principles across on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience managing and delivering technical changes within a structured environment.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams, suppliers and managed service partners.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, risk management and data protection requirements.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A collaborative approach, curiosity to learn and a passion for improving security outcomes.
