Job summary

Booker is seeking a Technology Analyst to join our Branch Systems team, supporting tills, self-scan solutions, picking devices and payment systems. You’ll test, review specifications, document defects and work with developers to keep systems reliable and fit for purpose.

You’ll build cross-functional relationships and contribute to technology projects across Branch Systems. You will help ensure high-quality outcomes, deliver effective problem solving, and share knowledge to support users.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing, technology support or a similar analytical role.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, execute and maintain test cases to validate system functionality and quality.
• Review requirements and system specifications to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Identify, document and track software defects, working closely with development teams to support resolution.
• Support the delivery of system enhancements, improvements and technology projects across Branch Systems.
• Investigate issues impacting system performance, availability and functionality, helping to identify effective solutions.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers to continuously improve our systems and processes.
• Produce accurate documentation and management information to support decision making.
• Provide guidance and support to users when required.
• Participate in out-of-hours support on a rotational basis to help maintain business-critical services.

As part of a collaborative team, you'll help ensure our systems are reliable, effective and fit for purpose by carrying out testing, identifying issues and working closely with colleagues across Technology and Operations. It would be great if you also have

• Knowledge of branch or retail systems, including tills, self-scan, picking devices or payment solutions.
• Experience of working within wholesale, retail or customer-focused environments.
• An understanding of change management or system support processes.
