Job summary

Frontline Security Solutions, part of Api Group, is seeking a Technical Design Engineer to review tender documents and prepare pre-construction design packs. The role blends home working, client visits and office presence in Chalfont St Peter, on a 12-month fixed-term contract that could become permanent.

You will design system layouts, collaborate with sales and estimators, and support project handover with RAMS, drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of electronic security systems and system design.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Produce complete system designs and design packs for live and upcoming projects.
• Collaborate with sales, estimators and project managers across multiple projects.
• Create drawings, schematics, device schedules, RAMS and specifications.
• Support pre-construction activities and site surveys as needed.
