Job summary

OpenView Security Solutions Limited in the Romford/London area is offering a Security Apprentice role within the High Security Team. You will work with engineers on public safety, life safety and security systems, gaining hands-on experience while pursuing a Level 3 Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Technician apprenticeship.

The programme runs for 3 years with 40 hours per week, typically Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend/evening work.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths required.
• Strong communication and IT skills desired.
• Attention to detail and problem solving abilities.
• Teamwork and good timekeeping are essential.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to safety guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Engineer with day-to-day reactive tasks.
• Demonstrate a desire to learn and develop new skills.
• Interest in security systems: Door Entry, Access control, CCTV, Intruder Alarm, networking.
• Understand and promote best practices of electrical and electronic principles.
• Follow current H&S guidance and keep environments safe and tidy.
• Be punctual on-site and meet company/customer targets.
