Security Officer - ABP Inveralmond, Perth (PH1 3XB)

Location: ABP Inveralmond, Perth, PH1 3XB
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Sunday, covering days, nights and weekends
Shifts: 06:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 06:00
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team at ABP Inveralmond, Perth. Working within a busy gatehouse environment, you will play a key role in maintaining the security and safety of the site, carrying out access control duties, site patrols, and ensuring all security procedures are followed.

This position requires flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern covering days, nights and weekends. Experience within the security industry is preferred; however, full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out access and egress checks for all visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering and leaving the site.
• Monitor and control access through the gatehouse.
• Conduct regular site patrols during nights and weekends.
• Deal with livestock on site during nights and weekends when required.
• Complete accurate incident reports and site documentation.
• Maintain detailed records and report any security concerns.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents and emergencies.
• Ensure all site security procedures and policies are followed at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service to site staff, visitors, and contractors.

Essential Requirements

• Valid SIA Security Licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible approach to working days, nights and weekend shifts.
• Reliable, professional, and self-motivated.

Desirable Requirements

• Previous security experience within a gatehouse, industrial, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience completing reports and maintaining security records.
