Job summary

Savills Company in Reading seeks a Security Supervisor to ensure smooth site operations, recruit and train security staff, and maintain a safe environment for tenants, visitors and contractors. You will manage duty rotas, supervise officers, handle recruitment and disciplinary procedures, and conduct annual appraisals.

Liaise with Police and enforcement agencies; provide CCTV/alarm training and on-site instruction.

Qualifications

• Experience in security services at supervisor level in a busy corporate environment.
• Must hold a valid SIA Security Licence and Public Space Surveillance Licence where required.
• Strong people management and team-building skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and handle demanding situations.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Excellent customer service and presentation.
• Willingness to undertake additional training.
• Accurate record keeping with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the overall effectiveness and efficiency of security provision.
• Compile and distribute duty rotas.
• Recruitment and selection of new staff and disciplinary procedures.
• Complete annual appraisals on all security staff and maintain records.
• Mentor officers on appraisals and advise on performance.
• Liaise with Police, CTSA and enforcement agencies; communicate with tenants.
• Coordinate with tenants during evacuations and events.
• Provide on-site training for emergency procedures and CCTV/alarm control.
