Job summary

Carlisle Support Services seeks an enthusiastic Supervisor to join our team at the Port of Liverpool. You will lead a security team, ensure high standards, and interact professionally with clients while delivering first-rate service. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

The role involves a 50-hour week on a rota including days, nights and weekends, with a pay rate of £14.85 per hour. On-site work with company vehicle access to cover the area is included.

Qualifications

• SIA guarding or door supervision licence required for licensable role.
• Full UK driving licence held 2+ years with minimal points.
• Five years of checkable work and address history.
• Proven supervisory experience, preferably in security.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate a team.
• Reliable, punctual, flexible and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team to achieve performance goals and high standards.
• Ensure colleague safety and provide confidence across the team.
• Oversee conflict management and incident control.
• Control access and conduct security patrols to deter crime.
• Engage with the public professionally and proactively.
• Identify hazards and respond appropriately.
• Provide guidance and direct customers as a first point of contact.
• Ensure safety and security processes are followed.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Train and mentor new hires to understand roles and responsibilities.
