Job summary

Medirest is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead the hospital security team at King's Mill Hospital. You will oversee daily operations, patrols, incident response, and reporting to ensure a safe, compliant environment for patients, staff and visitors.

You should have a current SIA licence, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills, with experience in healthcare or high-footfall settings. This role is full-time and site-based within the NHS environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Security Supervisor or Team Leader role.
• Holds a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of working in a healthcare, public sector, or high-footfall environment is desirable.
• Able to remain calm and make informed decisions under pressure.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Competent in producing reports and using basic IT systems.
• Flexible, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the security team.
• Ensure all security operations are delivered effectively and in line with company and NHS policies.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections across the hospital site.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches.
• Support investigations and complete accurate incident reporting.
• Monitor CCTV systems and access control procedures.
• Assist with managing staff rotas, attendance, training, and performance.
• Build strong working relationships with hospital management, staff, patients, and visitors.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, safeguarding, and security regulations.
• Promote a professional, customer-focused approach across the team.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Security Supervisor to join our Medirest team at King's Mill Hospital.
