Medirest, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, is hiring a Security Supervisor for King's Mill Hospital, Sutton-in-Ashfield. Lead a security team in a busy healthcare setting, ensuring safety of patients, visitors and staff.

You will deliver high-quality security services, manage incidents, and maintain compliant operations while upholding a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience as Security Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Healthcare/public sector or high-footfall environment experience desirable.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Competent in producing reports and using basic IT systems.
• Flexible, reliable and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day security team activities.
• Ensure security operations align with NHS and company policies.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Security Supervisor to join our Medirest team at King's Mill Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of security professionals within a busy healthcare environment, ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, colleagues, and hospital property.

As a Security Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment while supporting operational excellence and delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the security team.
• Ensure all security operations are delivered effectively and in line with company and NHS policies.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections across the hospital site.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches.
• Support investigations and complete accurate incident reporting.
• Monitor CCTV systems and access control procedures.
• Assist with managing staff rotas, attendance, training, and performance.
• Build strong working relationships with hospital management, staff, patients, and visitors.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, safeguarding, and security regulations.
• Promote a professional, customer-focused approach across the team.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a Security Supervisor or Team Leader role.
• Holds a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of working in a healthcare, public sector, or high-footfall environment is desirable.
• Able to remain calm and make informed decisions under pressure.
