Job summary

HSB Technical Ltd is recruiting a Security Small Works & Service Engineer to install and service fire and security systems across commercial and residential sites in the UK.

You will carry out small works, fault finding, commissioning and servicing, keep detailed documentation, and liaise with clients. A full UK driving licence and the ability to work independently are essential; the role offers a company vehicle, pension and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fire and security small works, installation, commissioning and servicing.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and customer-facing skills.
• Experience with systems such as Advanced, Kentec, C-Tec, CEM, PAC, Avigilon, Hikvision, Dahua, Paxton, Texecom, Galaxy or Pyronix is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, upgrade, and commission CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and fire alarm systems.
• Carry out small works projects, system additions and upgrades across customer sites.
• Diagnose faults on a range of fire and security systems and rectify them.
• Test and commission systems to ensure full operational functionality and document work.
