Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in the Southampton area is seeking a Relief Security Officer to cover Southampton, Totton and Hedge End locations. The role is part-time with flexible shifts and access to your own vehicle is essential.

You will provide a visible security presence, follow site instructions, and maintain professional conduct across client sites. Training will be provided and incidents will be documented according to procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision - CCTV PSS preferred).
• Previous security experience is advantageous, especially retail security.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and vigilant security presence across various client sites.
• Follow site-specific Assignment Instructions (AI's) and ensure full compliance.
• Maintain a high standard of personal and professional conduct.
• Ensure the safety of the public and staff by proactively monitoring for risks and hazards.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Accurately document incidents and ensure all reporting procedures are followed.
• Make timely check calls and emergency contacts as required.
• Attend and complete all required training and development programmes.

The Role: Relief Security Officer – Ilfracombe and Barnstaple Area

We're looking for a professional, reliable, and flexible Relief Security Officer to join our team in the Southampton, Totton and Hedge End areas. This role requires someone who can cover a variety of shifts and locations, so access to your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence is essential.

What You'll Need

• Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision - CCTV PSS preferred)
• Previous security experience (retail security experience is an advantage)
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Strong communication skills and a calm, confident approach under pressure
• Flexibility to cover days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
