Role Description

The Security Professional is a full-time, Casual Zero hour Contract and on-site role based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom. This role involves providing visible, proactive security across client sites, including access control, patrolling, monitoring CCTV systems, and responding to incidents in line with company procedures. Daily responsibilities include safeguarding people, property, and assets, conducting regular security checks, managing entry and exit points, and reporting any suspicious activity or breaches. The Security Professional will maintain accurate incident and shift reports, communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and emergency services, and use company security technology, including guard tour and GPS tracking systems. The role also requires adherence to SIA standards, health and safety regulations, and client-specific protocols while providing courteous, professional service at all times.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Physical Security skills, including site patrolling, access control, incident response, and asset protection.
• Candidates should possess Cybersecurity and Information Security awareness, with the ability to follow secure data handling and basic digital security practices.
• Candidates should possess Network Security understanding at a foundational level, supporting secure use of CCTV, guard tour systems, and related infrastructure.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written reporting and effective interaction with clients, visitors, and emergency services.
• Valid SIA license (e.g., Door Supervisor or Security Guarding) and BS7858 vetting eligibility are required; experience in corporate, retail, construction, or event security is highly beneficial.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, make sound decisions, work varied shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays), and use modern security technologies and CCTV systems.
• Basic IT literacy, strong situational awareness, conflict management skills, and training in first aid or emergency response are advantageous.
