Job summary

Securitas UK is hiring a Security Operations Coordinator in Basildon (SS14 3EL). The role blends operational support with admin tasks to ensure smooth security service delivery, reporting to the site security manager and liaising with the client.

You’ll need managerial experience, CCTV/access control knowledge, and the ability to coordinate projects and priorities. 40 hours/week, £41,700 per year, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Managerial experience and leadership capabilities are essential.
• Experience with physical security systems (access control, CCTV) preferred.
• Eligibility to obtain SC clearance is required.
• Ability to prioritise workload independently under pressure.
• Experience handling classified material and maintaining security confidentiality.
• Security administration experience is beneficial.
• Right to work in the UK with a verifiable 5-year history.
• Aptitude to coordinate and lead projects from design to completion.
• Strong IT skills to manage security-related data and systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide security-related guidance in line with policy and government expectations.
• Manage whole-life accounting of information and materials for projects and contracts.
• Oversee physical security responsibilities including visitor management and CCTV.
• Coordinate security resources and motivate the team.
• Contribute to security-related business planning and delivery.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor third-party security service provision including guarding and system maintenance.
• Support awareness, education and training on security matters.
• Provide data and reporting on security activities.
