Job summary

River Island is seeking a Security Operations Lead to own day-to-day security operations and manage the outsourced SOC across retail, ecommerce, distribution, and corporate environments.

The role combines hands-on tooling with governance, incident response, and risk oversight, ensuring timely triage and remediation. Based at the Head Office in West London, you will lead security operations and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations, SOC management, or similar hands-on operational security role.
• Governing outsourced SOC or MSSP relationships including SLAs and reporting.
• Knowledge of SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, and exposure management tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational delivery of security monitoring, detection, and response across retail, ecommerce, distribution, and corporate environments.
• Act as internal escalation point for security alerts, incidents, and investigations with the outsourced SOC.
• Operate and tune in-house security tooling to complement SOC detection.
• Lead incident response, containment, investigation, and post-incident reviews.
• Coordinate end-to-end vulnerability management with Technology, Ecommerce, and Infrastructure teams.
