Job summary

PA Consulting Group seeks a Security Operations Manager to lead SOC analysts and IR specialists within its Digital Trust & Cyber Security practice. You will guide live incident containment, drive day-to-day SOC operations, and help clients modernise SIEM, SOAR and EDR while building cyber resilience.

The role blends hands-on leadership with advisory work, across UK public and enterprise clients, with hybrid work and security clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising a SOC/CSOC/IR team.
• Practical experience managing live cyber incidents (ransomware, account takeovers).
• Direct experience with SIEM/SOAR tools and EDR/XDR platforms.
• Solid understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, NCSC Caf v4.0 and ISO 27001.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop SOC analysts and IR specialists with clear operational direction.
• Take a hands-on leadership role during cyber security incidents and coordinate response.
• Help clients assess and improve their Security Operations capabilities across people, processes, and technology.
• Advise on evolution of SIEM, SOAR, EDR to enhance visibility and response.
