Job summary

Victorian Plumbing is seeking three Security Operations Assistants to join our Skelmersdale team, serving as the first line of defence in a gatehouse setting. You will patrol, monitor CCTV and help manage access to protect staff, premises and assets.

We require an SIA licence (and CCTV qualification) and a proactive, independent approach. This permanent role offers 38.5 hours per week, 3 on 3 off night shifts (19:00–07:00) with a 1-hour unpaid break, and a competitive salary including a night

Qualifications

• Self-starter with initiative and ability to work independently.
• Adaptable to dynamic environments and flexible shifts.
• Strong attention to detail to identify issues.
• SIA licence and CCTV qualification are mandatory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in security or facilities management preferred.

Contractual Details

• Contract Type: Permanent
• Contracted hours: Average 38.5 hours a week
• Shift Pattern / Hours: 3 on 3 off, Nights 19:00-07:00, (1-hour unpaid break)
• Annual Leave: 23.5 days per annum (Equivalent to 6.5 weeks)
• Basic Salary: £27,587.13 (+Night Premium)

What You'll Do

• Champion Security: Conduct regular patrols, both internally and externally, to deter potential security threats. Your keen eye will be vital in identifying suspicious activity, damage, or unauthorized access.
• Be Our Eyes and Ears: Monitor CCTV footage, ensuring comprehensive coverage of critical areas. Respond promptly to incidents and report them to the appropriate managers/authorities.
• Secure Access Control: Assist with visitor and delivery management. Verify identification, maintain a visitor log, and ensure only authorised goods enter the building.
• Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with colleagues to maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone on-site.
