Job summary

Sellick Partnership seeks an Information Security Analyst to join a collaborative security team in Manchester, operating primarily on a hybrid model (1 day/week in office). You will help deliver security operations, monitor environments, manage vulnerabilities, and support incident response to protect the organisation.

The role emphasizes automation, tooling, and defined processes to mature security capabilities while collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in Security Operations and/or Incident Response.
• Experience triaging, investigating, and responding to security alerts.
• Vulnerability management experience including use of Nessus.
• Experience with a SOC or managed security monitoring service.
• Strong understanding of security monitoring and alerting; vulnerability lifecycle.
• Ability to analyse security events and make risk-based decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 and ISMS.
• Experience supporting audits, compliance, or security assurance activities.
• Exposure to SIEM, EDR, or other monitoring/detection platforms.
• Experience responding to customer security questionnaires or bids/tenders.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, and identity/access management.
• Experience in regulated environments or with sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage, investigate, and coordinate responses to security alerts.
• Manage vulnerability lifecycle using Nessus and track remediation.
• Collaborate with external security monitoring providers on events.
• Support incident response activities and ensure timely resolution.
• Assist with customer security questionnaires and audit activities.
• Maintain and improve security documentation, procedures, and processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
• Contribute to ongoing development and maturity of the Information Security function.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organisation.
