Our client is looking for a Security Operations Officer to provide a professional and effective external Security Service tailored to meet the needs of their NHS Trust.

Pay Rates:
  • Weekdays: £13.20 per hour Umbrella or £11.68 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
  • Saturdays/Nights: £15.50 per hour Umbrella or £13.50 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
  • Sundays: £18.00 per hour Umbrella or £16.00 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
Hours / Working Days:

Between 1 to 4, 12-hour shifts across Monday - Sunday

Shift times:

Days 07:00–19:00 and Nights 19:00–07:00

Based:

Office / Hospital

Requirements:
  • UK Driving License
Job Duties:
  • Provide first-line response for building-related issues affecting operations.
  • Undertake and document security patrols of sites, grounds, and buildings according to schedule.
  • Conduct site searches in and around buildings and gardens.
  • Respond to emergency calls and intruder alarm activations.
  • Escort duties as required between buildings on request.
  • Liaise with staff, the public, and police as necessary.
  • Maintain electronic security logs following protocols.
  • Respond to security incidents appropriately.
  • Participate in physical intervention activities, as required.
  • Attend face-to-face handovers before and after each shift.
  • Implement locking and unlocking procedures to ensure hospital site safety.
  • Patrol Armstrong Way and manage building locking/unlocking.
  • Work flexibly, altering shift patterns based on service needs, including rotational shifts 24/7/365.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, be polite to staff, visitors, and the public, and wear PPE as necessary.
  • Respond to emergency calls and alarm activations out of hours on London Community sites.
  • Assist Car Parking staff with incidents of violence or aggression.
  • Support parking enforcement, issuing notices and warnings as needed.
  • Assist/support the porter service as required.
  • Perform any other porter duties as directed by management.
