Job summary

Securitas UK in Glasgow and Ayrshire is recruiting a Relief Security Officer to provide visible, professional security cover across multiple client sites. You’ll cover days, nights and weekends with on-site parking and full training provided.

The role focuses on welcoming staff and visitors, maintaining logs, responding to incidents, and following site procedures. SIA licence preferred; full training offered and a wide range of benefits.

• SIA Licence preferred.
• A full UK driving licence and access to vehicle.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Relief Security Officer

Location: Glasgow / Ayrshire (Relief Cover) - On-site parking available

Pay: £13.45 per hour

Hours: Minimum 36 hours per week – Days, Nights & Weekends (Overtime Opportunities Available)

SIA Licence preferred — full training provided for the right candidate.

About The Role

As a Relief Security Officer, you’ll provide professional and reassuring security cover across multiple client sites. Your presence will help ensure people feel safe, respected, and supported at all times.

You’ll carry out a range of duties depending on the site and shift, including patrols, access control, and customer-facing responsibilities. You’ll be trusted to work independently when required, while also being part of a wider, supportive team.
