Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking a Band 3 Security Officer for the Trevor Gibbens Unit in Maidstone. The role involves maintaining a secure reception, supervising visitor access, and coordinating with security staff to monitor and respond to incidents.

The position is full-time and permanent, offering an opportunity to contribute to safe, compassionate care across Kent and Medway. Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for business use where

Responsabilités

• Ensure that only authorised visitors are granted admission to the unit, and all records of staff and visitors are kept up to date.
• Ensure that all visitors are directed to and reminded of prohibited items before they enter the airlock/secure areas.
• Ensure all visitors and returning patients are searched in accordance with secure guidelines.
• Ensure that any potential security breach is reported to the Head of Security, or Out of Hours Security on Call.
• Directing responding staff to alarms to the Ward or Department as appropriate.
