Northern Security Ltd is seeking a Security Officer to cover Kendal and Ambleside. The role involves providing an onsite security presence, responding to alarms, and patrolling sites.

You must be able to work independently, be flexible with shifts including days, nights and weekends, hold a UK driving licence, and have First Aid training. Full training is provided and a pension scheme is available.

We currently have a vacancy for a Security Officer based in and around Kendal and Ambleside. Having the ability to work independently and well under pressure, a flexible attitude to shift work is something we value highly.

Due to the location of site, and the need to occasionally use an onsite vehicle, applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence.

Job Description

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to -

• Student Support
• Providing assistance to Campus in regards to class room set ups
• Responding to Fire Alarm activations
• Providing an onsite professional security presence
• Providing a deterrent to criminal activity, theft and antisocial behaviour
• Provide protection for customers, property and staff
• Internal and external site patrols
• Concierge duties

Applicants must be:

• First Aid trained
• Smart and presentable
• Polite and approachable
• Professional and able to make decisions on their own accord
• Vigilant for anything out of the ordinary
• Punctual & reliable
• Be flexible for work shifts
