Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Security Officer for BMW UK HQ at Summit One Farnborough. This role demands high presentation standards as the first point of contact for staff, visitors and contractors, with a focus on professional incident handling and customer service.

Your responsibilities include site familiarisation, visitor management, and supporting the security team to protect people and property while adhering to BMW procedures and security policies.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA front line licence (fully funded).
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Basic/intermediate IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with site layout to assist visitors and direct them confidently.
• Conduct site familiarisation and patrols using Merlin System; welcome staff and visitors.
• Check IDs for staff/contractors and manage entry/exit per BMW security policy.
• Greet visitors, identify visit purpose, and liaise with appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with the security team to manage all aspects of site security.
• Maintain calm, vigilant, and efficient conduct at all times.
• Ensure smart, tidy, presentable uniform is worn.
• Be prepared to assist with emergencies and evacuation procedures.
• Provide stand-in cover for receptionist during breaks and for the wider team.
