Job summary

Consultora Excelsior is seeking full-time security officers to start in Milton Keynes. The role offers day, night and weekend shifts with flexible options for working days or nights plus weekends.

Wages are £19.50/hour on day shifts, £22.50/hour on nights, and £25.50/hour for weekends with overtime paid and weekly pay on Fridays. Expect 45–60 hours per week, with responsibility for patrolling, monitoring CCTV, access control, incident response, policy enforcement, and thorough reporting.

Qualifications

• Observational skills to notice potential threats or suspicious behaviour.
• Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, for reporting and interacting with others.
• Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions.
• Ability to de-escalate tense situations and find peaceful solutions.
• Familiarity with security equipment, surveillance systems, and basic computer applications.
• Ability to patrol, stand for extended periods, and potentially handle physical situations.
• Maintaining a calm, courteous, and reassuring presence.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect buildings, perimeters and access points to ensure security and safety.
• Monitor CCTV and security systems to identify threats and respond to incidents.
• Check IDs, log entries/exits, and regulate access to restricted areas.
• Investigate alarms, handle emergencies and take appropriate actions.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and resolve disturbances.
• Maintain logs and incident reports, and communicate irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
