Job summary

Securitas UK is hiring a Security Officer Apprentice in Puriton. You’ll start with an Level 2 Professional Security Operative Apprenticeship after the first month and earn from day one, with full training and mentorship. No prior security experience is required; we value attitude and customer service.

You’ll patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents across a modern site, gaining hands-on experience while working 6am–6pm, Monday to Friday, at £12.80 per hour or £35,000+ per year.

Job Description

What you’ll be doing day to day:

• Patrol the site to ensure safety and security of people, buildings and assets


• Monitor entrances, exits and access control systems


• Check ID badges, visitor passes and deliveries


• Respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies following site procedures


• Complete incident reports and daily occurrence logs accurately


• Provide a visible security presence and excellent customer service


• Monitor CCTV and other security systems where required


• Carry out regular health and safety checks (e.g. fire exits, hazards)


• Liaise with client staff, emergency services and colleagues as needed


• Follow all Securitas policies, assignment instructions and safety rules
