Job summary

Mitie is recruiting a Security Officer at Keens House, Andover. This full-time role follows a 12-hour 4-on/4-off shift pattern.

You will maintain a professional presence, welcome clients, operate phones, emails, CCTV, alarm systems, and access control, and respond to incidents until emergency services arrive. Key requirements include an SIA Licence (Door Supervision or Security Guarding) and knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act, along with strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence (Door Supervision or Security Guarding) – Essential.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional presence: determined, trustworthy, attentive, and approachable.
• Welcome clients and visitors; manage ID badge issuance.
• Operate phones, emails, IT systems, CCTV, alarm systems and access control.
• Monitor and respond to suspicious activity or potential criminal behaviour.
• Maintain control of incidents until emergency services arrive.
• Record, report and escalate incidents to the Account Manager.
