Job summary

Securitas UK is hiring a Security Officer in Telford to protect people, property and assets within a high-security site. You will deliver frontline service, monitor access, and patrol the premises throughout your shift.The role requires a valid SIA licence, security experience, physical fitness, and strong English communication. You will work 12-hour shifts (42 hours on average) across day duties, indoors and outdoors, with a focus on vigilance, reporting, and safety.

Pay: £13,45

All Security Officer candidates must hold a valid SIA licence before commencing operational duties.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Conducting regular safety and security patrols.
• Ensuring compliance with site regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Supporting emergency response procedures, including evacuations and searches.
• Remaining vigilant at all times, reporting incidents, and preventing disruption.
• Accurately maintaining records, reports, and handover notes.
• Operating site gates and controlling access to the premises.
• Carrying out foot patrols both indoors and outdoors.
