Job summary

Staffline are recruiting for a Security Officer in Ipswich. The role requires a valid SIA Security/Door Supervisor Licence and offers an hourly rate of £13.00 with paid breaks.

Shifts and hours vary, with duties including deterrence, safeguarding staff and premises, reporting incidents, and following evacuation procedures. The ideal candidate communicates well, provides friendly service, and is comfortable using digital devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent and contribute to the safety of the premises and staff.
• Enforce company policy on loss prevention and ensure staff and visitors' safety.
• Deter potential troublemakers on site and report incidents using the correct systems.
• Carry out duties assigned by the client or manager and keep site knowledge up to date.
• Understand and implement fire and safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required by the client.
• Maintain a clean and tidy security base and present a professional image.

Our clients are looking for a Security Officer in Ipswich, where no two days will be the same and you will have the opportunity to carve out a career with the biggest name in security.

Position: Security Officer

Location: Ipswich

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour, with a paid break

Hours: Various

Your Time at Work

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff


• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors


• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site


• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems


• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible


• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified


• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures


• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches


• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition


• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
