Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a security officer for varied, casual cover shifts at a Rugby site. You will monitor the site, conduct patrols and respond to alarms while maintaining a professional presence and complying with health & safety policies.

The ideal candidate holds a valid SIA licence, is computer literate, and can interact confidently with visitors and management. You must have the right to work in the UK and uphold high presentation standards.

Qualifications

• SIA license required or essential.
• Computer literacy is required for daily security operations.
• Ability to interact with visitors and staff at all levels.
• Present a professional image and adhere to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Record vehicles, visitors and contractors and maintain site activity logs.
• Monitor site CCTV and security systems; respond to alerts and alarms.
• Carry out routine site patrols and inspections as per instructions.
• Maintain a visible professional security presence on site.
• Comply with Health & Safety policies and management plans.

About The Role

Shift Pattern: Varied, casual cover

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Recording of vehicles, visitors and contractors as well as all site activities maintaining accurate records and a site daily occurrence record
• Monitor site visually and via CCTV and be fully conversant with the CCTV and site electronic security systems responding to alerts and alarms as required
• Completing regular site patrols and inspections of client’s premises in accordance with the assignment Instructions
• To show a professional security presence throughout the site
• To fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the company’s Health & Safety policy and Health & Safety Management plans

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
• You will be required to undergo screening and vetting (BS7858)
• SIA licensed essential
• Computer literate
• Able to interact at all levels from visitors to senior management.
• High standards of personal presentation
