Job summary

Mitie is seeking a highly professional Security Officer to safeguard our client's people, property, and assets in Norwich. The role involves patrolling both internal and external areas of a large multistorey building, with many 12-hour shifts.

Excellent availability for day and night shifts, and the ability to work across locations in Norwich and Lowestoft, are desirable. A full UK driving licence and own vehicle help you commute to shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle to commute to and from work.
• Able to work day and night shifts across Monday-Sunday.
• Comfortable walking and standing for long periods during patrols.

• Maintain vigilance over the work environment to identify potential threats, disruptions, or breaches.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, escalating to appropriate authorities or teams as required.
• Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports, supporting robust governance and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrate composure and professionalism when handling challenging situations, ensuring the protection of people and assets.
• Adhere to scheduled check-ins and communication protocols to maintain operational integrity.

• Relief officer working on site for a large corporate client in Norwich. Most shifts are 12 hours.
• It is essential that you live within 30 minutes of Norwich, have a full UK driving licence, be over the age of 21 and have your own vehicle to commute to and from work.
• Must be able to work both day and night shifts Monday-Sunday and be available to cover annual leave and last minute blow outs.
• The role will require plenty of walking and standing on your feet, patrolling internal and external of a large multistorey building.
• There is potential for additional work at other locations in Norwich and Lowestoft.
