Job summary

Sodexo in Hull is seeking a reliable Security Officer to protect personnel, visitors and property on site. You'll manage site access, monitor CCTV, respond to emergencies and support general safety.

This role requires flexibility to work day and night shifts, including weekends, with 42 hours per week at £13.45 per hour. Ideal candidates hold a valid SIA licence, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence.
• First Aid at Work Certificate (Desirable).
• Previous experience in a security role.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good IT and keyboard skills.
• Able to work alone or as part of a team.
• Flexible and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Prevent unauthorised entry to the site.
• Monitor and operate CCTV and fire alarm systems.
• Deliver security inductions.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents (e.g. fire, flood, breach).
• Maintain clear and accurate records.
• Support key management and vehicle movement control.
• Follow all Sodexo policies, health & safety rules, and site procedures.
