Securitas UK is hiring a Security Officer for a Newport site. You’ll provide professional security services aligned with assignment instructions and protect employees, visitors, property and assets.

The role offers 42 hours per week with flexible days, including 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am shifts, a fixed-term contract to February 2027, and a starting rate of £17.07 per hour. Training, development and brand-discount benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence required.
• British nationality due to site security clearance.
• Have been continuously resident in the UK for the last 5 years.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
• Flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Hold a valid UK passport.
• Eligible to obtain BPSS and SC clearance.
• Willing to undergo security screening and background checks.

Company Description

We’re Hiring: Security Officer

Location: Newport, NP10 8BE
Pay: £17.07 per hour
Hours: 42 hours per week, flexible shifts, working 6am-6pm days and 6pm-6am nights

Contract: Fixed-term contract until the end of February 2027.

Working at a growing construction and infrastructure site, the Security Officer will provide a professional security service in line with Assignment Instructions and operational requirements, helping to protect employees, visitors, property, and other assets.
